It was our first time there and I really loved it! Food was cooked to order which made it hot and fresh. Well seasoned and great proportions. I got the Polly seafood platter and my daughter got the Cajun shrimp and grits. Restaurant was clean as well as the bathroom. Justin the general was very welcoming and personable, I would definitely recommend. The also have a tv and a nice music playing
The portions are huge, food and service are great! Never underestimate how much welcoming staff add to the food experience. I was given enthusiastic recommendations on sauce pairings and dishes-top tier service. The prices are amazing! I've been here several times. I’ve had the crab cakes, salmon, shrimp salad, fried green tomatoes, and wings, and have enjoyed them all. The sides that come with the main dishes were a bit hit or miss for me, but the mains were so large and good that I was too full to care much about the sides. I liked the broccoli, didn’t like the spinach (not seasoned enough for me), and didn’t like the grits (too oily for me), but they were all cooked perfectly, texture wise. For atmosphere, it’s a smaller space so it can feel cramped, especially when it’s busy. I just get my food to go, but I see plenty of people staying to eat.
Hungry for some fresh food that's fast and full of flavor? Well make sure you get here early for the popular locals secret. The mouth-watering menu has plenty to please any palate. Be sure to leave room for desert because they are all amazing but we tried the beneigh and would get it again
UPDATE 2025! If heaven had a takeout window, it would be Fork in the Road! Listen, I’m not here to waste your time this place is 10 out of 10, 100 out of 100, a billion out of a billion. They do not miss. Ever. I just devoured a fish platter with flounder nuggets (yes, I got my flounder cut into nugget form because I’m fancy like that), fried shrimp, and fried scallops which I had for the first time and let me tell you, those little crispy bites of joy changed my life. I saw the light. I had a moment. Scallops, where have you been all my life?! The fried food here is top-tier! crispy, golden, never greasy, always flavorful. It tastes like somebody’s grandma back there is frying with love, but with the precision of a five-star chef. The portions? HUGE. You’re not leaving hungry. You’re leaving full, happy, and already thinking about your next order. Now, I always place my order to go (because I like eating in my comfy pants at home), but they do have seating inside, and it’s super clean and always busy, which is a great sign. And let’s talk about customer service, because these folks know how to treat people! Always friendly, always on point, making sure your order is right and your food is fresh. Bottom line? If you haven’t been to Fork in the Road, you’re doing life wrong. Get yourself there, order something fried or grilled that have it! Vegetarian..? Try the Beyond burger , and prepare to enter flavor paradise. Thank me later.
A must visit! Order at the counter and they call your number: we got 10 piece chicken fingers with a side of fries. WOOO the chicken was so good the picture doesn’t do them justice!! They came out hot and fresh and their size is great too. The chicken was super juicy and tender and the batter was so light and crispy, the fries were actually softer by comparison (but still good!) Our portion was generous enough to split with people, and the building was so cute too! Very cozy, loved the music. Absolute gem of a spot 💕
